i'm just curious what the various monitor ratings refer to - ie what do the anoncronyms stand for? also, what specs accompany each, if anyone knows.

WUXGA = 1900x1200 pixels. WSXGA(+) = 1680x1050 pixels of viewing area on an lcd panel.

Generally these panels have crisp, small pixels which can look great but some complain that these resolutions are quite high (small text becomes a problem).

The w in the name means they are widescreen (16:10) panels.
