FREE 16.1 or 15.4???

Okay if their was no money difference between the 15.4 and 16.1 which one would you ppl go for ..i just bought a AWLT and im hearing all this crap about the ghosting problem and different pixel prob .. so which one would you ppl go for if same price, and from the ppl who own the 16.1 what do u think of the quality, does it have alot of ghosting problem during games??
THANX..plz respond i need to make sure that i made the right (or the wrong) choice!!!!

15.4....theres two extra speakers and the 15.4 is more powerful anyways...

*whew*
Even though the 16.1 is pricey, I got it because you just can't beat the 4:3 ratio. The wide aspect still has bars in movies... it defeats the idea of having a wide aspect ratio!!!

I have played multipe movies with out the bars.....no streching or such.

Movies: Matrix, Matrix Reloaded, Matrix Revolutions, The Fast and The Furious, XXX, and 8 Mile.

i say 15.4 cause of 2 xtra speakers (kinda nice if you main need to use speaker sound but can't hook up 5.1 speakers) and cause it's widescreen so movies play cool on it

I have the 1st generation 16.1" which is crap but it has no ghosting, just wahsed out colors and DVD playback is sh1t. I hear the newer 16.1 is much better.
Since I had the 16.1" screen I could never downgrade to a 15.4"... my next purchase is the 17" running off a PCI-Express video card... should only be 4-6 months for release in lappy's. AW will most likely be 12-14 months compared to it's competitors... STILL waiting on the 9700!!

Geez, I didnt know that so many people really needed to have four speakers on their laptop. Generally laptop speakers aren't too spectacular, including the Area 51m's.
Seriously, I have no need for four speakers and PLENTY of need for a 16.1" screen when you hook up a superior pair of external self-powered speakers.

If money is no object, why not go with the 16.1" screen? The more real estate the better, and Alienware has stated that both screens are pretty much similar to each other.

Just got my laptop with 16" screen. Using Unreal T 2004 there is absolutely no Ghosting at all. In fact having played so far Farcry,Unreal,Painkiller,ManHunt,WarCraft there has been no noticible Ghosting. It's just 16 Inches of Laptop Goodness !

Um.. *indignant look* but we all DID answer your question. We all said which we'd choose and why. If i had the 16.1 I WOULD have told you if there was ghosting, but I DON'T so I COULDN'T.... thanks for making me feel bad...

sorry!!!..obviously some ppl gave me some good answers, but i couldnt thank every1...+i did say thanks to all who responded...cuz all did help bit by bit..but i wanted to really no straight up is their or isnt their ghosting when u play games and that guy really helped me chose whether it does or not..but seriously ur respond did help as well...but some ppl kept on saying : i thought u meant the 16.1' is free now?????y cant u respond to my question and then say that...you know what i mean..

HA same here.....may be it is a UK think...so howlong did take for you to recieve your laptop.....ordered mine like 8 days ago, phase 4 now and im leaving on 2 of july..soo yeah shortage of time..so ho long did it take?..oh yeahand spec is exactly the same as you..just that i got the DVD-RW
