600m-D600 case-WORK?

A 600m's motherboard will work just fine with the D600 case, if I buy the HDD caddy, right? And the pointing stick(i think that's what it's called) on the D600's case can plug into the 600m's motherboard, right?, just asking as the 600m case only has the touchpad. The D600 case has both.

Im looking to mod mt 600m into a d600 case also and would like some info also.

So far i did find out that the motherboard will fit, but as far as the pointing stick thingi, i don't know yet

The pointing stick should work, as it is controlled through the same cable, etc. However I am not 100% sure as I have not done it personally on 600m nor seen anyone else whom has. Perhaps it would work straight away. Perhaps you would need the drivers from the D600, the only way to find out is to try.

Otherwise, for the case mod to work and look right, you will need the palmrest assembly, hard drive caddy, and LCD casing. You can make do with the normal 600m base plastic. Good luck,

I want to chage the whole body because I dont like the feel of the 600m's body.
My father just got a 1150 for work and it it's more like the latitude case's then any inspiron that I have seen.
