Hey satoshi..

1. Never had that problem.
2. Dont have an SD card to test it, but other users in this forum have.
3. I have that problem too.
4. No Standby problems. Sometimes I crash when I am going into hybernation.
5. Me too. Or I would shut the screen, wait until the system is supposed to shut it off, then cant turn the screen back on unless I put it in sleep or turn the monitor off (monitor stays off) and then move the mouse.

After an hour or more of playing around, I fix all of those issues except #3. they were related to problems with the USB and video drivers. For USB, I uninstall all the USB components in device manager. While for the video driver, I used a program called Drive Cleaner 3 to completely remove ATI's driver. With regard to #3, I asked whether the AV panel is only capable of being a music player and not as a video plater on my reply to Gateway eSupport. So I guess, have to wait for their reply for the answer.

But in the end, I was surprised at Gateway for asking me to send the machine to their service facility when it's just a drivers problem.

I would imagine that the reason that DVD can't be selected as a source when the computer is off is that most of the computer is off. The screen is powered down, as well as the video card. I'm sure they didn't expect a high demand for people that just want to listen to a DVD movie only.

Greetings Satoshi - I have two questions for you. First, I googled 'Drive Cleaner 3' and couldn't find it - do you have a URL to download it? And, are your problems with the factory build or with a reload of XP Pro? I have been trying to upgrade Radeon drivers - with no success - for some time. Thanks for your time - Geo

You can find it at http://www.driverheaven.net/cleaner/, just follow the instructions in its readme.txt. I upgrade from the factory build of XP Home to XP Pro.

It has PC2700 memory installed, but it's run at 1:1 ratio with the FSB - at PC1600 speeds..
