"The ECS 600 has even better specs than the above notebook. The 600 too uses the Intel Pentium M (Dothan) processor with speeds up to 2.13GHz, uses a brand new Intel 915PM chipset platform, has a 15.4-inch WXGA screen and is powered by an ATI Mobility X600 (M24) PCIe x16 part with options for 64/128/256MB embedded frame buffer. Intel PRO Wireless 2100B or 2200G network connections, multimedia functions with remote control, built-in TV Tuner, DVD writer, and a 4-in-1 card reader. "

So I guess the DDR 600 is a hoax, eh?

Don't always believe hype from Intel. Rambus is coming out with a better memory than DDR2.

^-^ Rambus has always been better than ddr....what makes ddr so great now is its relatively low cost and high performance as opposed to rambus' higher performance, but at a premium most people aren't willing to pay for.

You mean the law firm Rambus? I didn't know they had any time to develop anything new between all their law suits.

Funny thing about Rambus; they are still the best firm out there and hit current specs years ago. I think it a shame RDRAM wasn't adopted for laptops, it would have been nice to be using 800 speed memory now. When DDR-2 hits its wall, XDR will be there.
They are developing a drop in interface, will make it easy for DDR or DDR2 placement, and it will adapt as well to XDR.
No, I don't work for Rambus. I do own shares, which I am not attempting to plug here, since I am in no way, shape or form a daytrader. Its revenues rose 16% in the first quarter, profits up 64%. If you invest, don't blame me if you lose your shirt, don't congratulate me if you make a killing. Do your own investigations and decisions. I just think it is a company to watch with great prospects.
