well, its 6 pm EST and no notice of shipment. I called customer service and they said it was probly shipped, that it had been back ordered but should be on schedule. This girl seemed very incompetent though. I don't think it was backordered, they just make excuses to make you feel better about your order. Like thank god they are so good, they can deliver on time even though it was back ordered. Even though, I was lied to about the delivery date by the sales guy and have been waiting 6 bussiness days for shipping of the product. But thank god for them right
Oh well theres no use trying to talk to those people in customer service, they are very poorly trained. The girl today also said that it should get to me by 5 pm tomorow and should call back if it didn't. Well thats great, I not only get to miss a day of work, but I may miss a day of work for nothing. Good thing I paid for top dollar on overnight shipping. I am only guessing you got your shipment earlier because I ordered two laptops. Maybe they test only one laptop at a time? So it takes twice as long to build, they have not heard of multi tasking.
Well, atleast I called fedex and found out that standard overnight shipping is supposed to be delivered by 3 pm. So its not a waste of a whole day
On another note, they emailed me saying they will refund me for the first laptop they failed to deliver to me. They did however manage to screw that up and say they weren't crediting me for the shipping ($43.40 , apparently they charge tax on the shipping). I called and said, it wasn't my fault they couldn't deliver the item to me, so the guy said he would send a credit request. It's almost been a month since my first order date, and I still don't have the money back. Hopefully by the end of the year?
I don't care if they come out with a 1 lb laptop with a 1 gig VRAM GPU for under $1000 in the next year. I will never buy from sonystyle.com again.
