Wifi PCMCIA and Broadcom

Thread Starter
Just got of the chat with a REP and he said that the Area-51m's are having problems with the Broadcom editions of the PCMCIA cards. He recommened the Microsoft one, but that crashed my system just as fast as the Linksys. What I want to know is; Is the Netgear a Broadcom and does anybody know about the 3com with Xjack. I need to know if I am ever going to find a PCMCIA wireless card that doesn't BSOD me. I'm tempted to get a USB wifi adapter

Please let me know.

i have used the netgear wg511 card as well as the wg511T card(108mbps)

both work flawlessly...

if you stil have the linksyss or other cards, try using the xp drivers and connection through the zero wireless autoconfiguraiton tool NOT the linksys software/drivers.

I am also using the Netgear WG511T without any problems on Windows XP Home after switching from the Linksys PCMCIA card that was giving me BSOD as well. The tech support guy also told me that the Microsoft card as well but luckily they only had the Netgear at the store I went too so tested my luck and it works without issue.
