What drivers need to be updated

I have read thru the sticky's about the driver updates. Besides the chip set and the graphics driver. what other drivers needs to be updated as soon as you got the little jewel.

I figure the sound and touch pad aren't that important. I mean a bonk is a bonk is a bonk in most applications.

I doubt I will use the touch pad's extra cool faetures (well I dont use them on the dell anyways).

And the wireless I live in the stick with Direcway Internet so if I hook up a Wi-Fi Router I dont have to worry about people getting in.

But there is always the hot spots in the big city so wireless update maybe needed.

Windows update! :-)

Directway is 1 way satellite service, right? Some setups that I have run into will not work with the routers you find in stores. The "1st computer" will have to be setup with ICS or other Internet sharing software, then a router can be plugged in to expand the network further, or to add wireless to the mix.

I "Highly Recomend" update touchpad drv from synaptics directly, chipset and gfx drv from intel directly cuz AW has way out of date drivers for those 3. For wireless drivers- read the wireless sticky. audio, lan, and modem drivers from AW should be fine.

Bios Update !!!! and as booga said Windows update.

PS Booga how does that 1 way crap work? If all u get is downstream how does it know where to go/ what to dl if there is no upload?

THey have both 1 and 2 way systems. The old modems (like I have are USB) and use ICS and pretty much suck. The new modem is self hosting and ethernet.

Networking with the older modem can be done but I havent had much success with it in ver a year. I get internet ok but like windows update and such its just a big ole mess

Didn't metion Windows Update I figured that was a given.

Arch for the 1 way you have to a dailup connection with a service that supports the dish systems AOL used to not sure if they do now or not and Earthlink supports it

Booga there are 2 "old modem" The 1 way single channel dish uses your standard Dialup modem.

I'm sorry for the confusion. Been hanging out at the Direcway boards too long

"old modem" is the USB modem and you use ICS to network DW4000
"new modem" is the ethernet modem DW6000
there is the old modem with router DW4060 but its to high to mess with

I plan to upgrade soon as I recover a little from the Sentia
