Hardcore Upgrades

Thread Starter
I am awaiting my order of Sager 5660. I have questions about its upgradability. I hear some rumors that you can swap a new motherboard in. Does anyone know anything about this? Currently my set up is P4 2.4 Gig and ATI Radeon 9000. In one year from now, will I be able to purchase a new motherboard with better Video and CPU? Can I mail my laptop somewhere that would do this for me?

On a sepearate note, if I don't swap in a new motherboard, how likely is it that I can swap in a new 3.6 GIG Pentium 4 CPU in next year and have the current motherboard support hyperthreading and all that?

Your only chance I can think of for the mthrbrd upgrade would be to talk to Sager (main sales line) if and when a new one comes out down the road. I don't think they would do it though.
As far as the 3.6GHZ... assuming it'll be a 533 FSB/478 I wouldn't see it being a problem with a few issues, mainly if your current heatsink will dissipate the heat well enough.
