I purchased Far Cry for my laptop but cannot seem to run it without the CD being in the computer, is there anyway i can run it straight off of the hard drive?

most games have copy protection so you have to have the cd.

you can get a program like game x copy that puts an image on the hard drive, or you can check websites like gamecopyworld to get a patched executable so it doesn't need the disk

how would i delete the file that comes with it and replace it with the file from this website?

i would strongly recommend against deleting the original far cry .exe file Instead rename it to for example if the .exe is named farcry.exe rename it to farcry_ORIGINAL.exe

then just copy over the nocd cracked farcry.exe into the same directory as the original .exe

this way if anything goes wrong in the future, or a patch is released that doesn't work with the cracked .exe, you have a copy of the original .exe on hand to roll back to
