Dunno, but usually when new stuff comes out, the other stuff drops in price... Well the AX6 just dropped 100 bucks, dont know about the others, but they said it was coming "soon, if not tomorrow" yesterday so.... If you want a 17" beast.... Not for me, rincewind just convinced me to get the compal56 (or cx5)

Definitely overpriced. I'm hoping that places like IBuyPower, Powernotebooks and Discountlaptops will carry it at a nice discount,
post #9 of 13
yep... same here... Another thingo i the choice of the CPU... why not a M cpu like the 2800+? It should have been cheaper and with better battery life...
its still better mobile time than the p4 8790

agreed it should be cheaper
yeah, 2 lbs less than 8790 too.
really? wow i didnt even notice that

so wait its an 8 pound 17" notebook ?

thats pretty light for a notebook that big
post #13 of 13
yes 8.4 lbs
thats the only reason i bothered to look at it =p

bout damn time, apples had that 17'' 7 pounder out forever

the AX-7 is 1.6'' high, which is okay i guess but the 17'' powerbook is 1'' thick!!! thats almost 40% smaller, sheesh
