Tweaks

Should be getting my lappy soon, currently in phase 9.
Heard alot of stuff about having to tweak the machine first thing.. i am no tech expert. What are some of these tweaks that we should do to the machine?

i will mainly be using the machine for watching dvds & gaming (UT2k4, call of duty, sacred) thanks
