Since i'm having so many problems with my new 8887 I think it's time to format and try a different windowsXP cd (SP1 integrated).

Since I want to do this right the first time I was wondering if anyone could give me info on the best drivers for Battlefield 1942 and whether to use DX9 or DX8.1. I can't use the default drivers from Sager because they do not include Theater mode for watching movies on TV.

Thanks!

Now im having trouble installing windows XP. I can't boot from the CD so I have to use a boot disk. It gets to the part where it says "Please wait while Setup copies files to your hard disk." it copies a lot of files and then just freezes and the HD light stays on.

I've tried many Windows XP cds. I dont know whats going on.

Do you have the BIOS set up to boot from CD-ROM first? Are the CD's "legit" (and that doesn't mean you wrote "legit" on them, either :P ).

I've seen that Error Code -1 before... can't remember where... Did you search these forums (and Google) for the error code -1 and toshiba?

Man, I cannot remember where I saw this, but *something* in the back of my mind is tingling (like a Spidey-Sense, not that second-rate T-Sense Troy has... )
