centrino with ati?????

Thread Starter
is it just me or does alienware not offer a system with a centrino processor and the option to put some graphics card in there such as ati 9600?
Nope, they dont.

I'd just buy from www.ibuypower.com if you want a better card. cheaper too.

sentias only come with an integrated intel extreme gpu

Sentias are not designed for gaming...it says so right on the site. For all of your gaming needs look for the Area51m.

Hope that helps.

If you want a mobile processor and a real graphics card, look at the Dell 8600.

Compal...look no further.

But Dell has some nifty stuff too.

I agree, Compal is impressive. I have seen rincewind's posts.

They say its not designed for gaming as a disclaimer so as not to confuse people with their systems that are specifically designed to game, but Craig, posts like yours are misleading as to the fact that the Sentia CAN play games.

very true. does anybody else carry an 8x dvd burner for laptops besides dell? and on the topic of ibuypower, is their e-turbo series any good? they seem very comparable to a cl56 and have cool colors. seriously, is there any major flaw like a terribly placed exhaust fan, crappy touchpad, crappy screen a la dell, etc.?

To clarify,

Sorry if I mislead anyone. What I meant to say was, once again, the A51m is for hardcore gamers...the Sentia is, conversly, the tool for the casual gamer/business traveler/education minded individual looking for portability and battery life.

Word!

Again Craig, misleading!!

I am an ultra hardcore gamer, yet I own and love my Sentia. It would be better said that the 51m is "for the best Laptop gaming experience."(although that is even debateable, but I digress...)

I know what your trying to say, but others might not. I am not trying to attack you, but clarify for those who could bennefit from a more precise account.

I think you might want to rethink your pairing of the 51m with "Harcore Gamer" as the Hardcore Gamers I know think laptop gaming is sacrelidge compared to desktop performance. I think pairing the 51m as the best laptop gaming experience is more appropriate rather that teaming a laptop to a persons gameing enthusiasm.

Sheesh. I give up.
