I must be stupid.
For some reason, I can't get my 5690 working with my cable modem (Comcast Hi speed) All I'm doing is removing the connection from my current web computer, plugging the cord into the Sager, and running through the Internet setup portion on XP Pro. I've tried every way I can think of, but obviously I'm missing something. One possibility:
Under the "Network Connections" window, I don't see any "LAN or High-Speed Internet" Icon (which is what the comcast help page is telling to me set up)
I have the icons for "wireless" "Network Bridge" "IE 3690"(or whatever the number is) and one other (that says TCP/IP is not enabled) The only one that really allows me to "repair internet connection" is the "network Bridge" but it after it tries, it said it failed to connect to remote computer.
Anyone know if there's a problem that I'm doing, or is there something funky with comcast (that they won't let you swap in a different machine, or something)
Thanks for any help!
