is there any way to close the laptop lid and still keep music playing?

for instance, if I have winamp playing music or SIRIUS radio playing on my laptop, is there anyway if I close the lid to make it still play? It seems to shut the laptop off or put it in standby mode if the lid closes.

Take a scalpel to the little button that the lid presses when closed!!!

On the other hand I have no idea. Perhaps this is in the settings or BIOS. When lid is closed......do nothing? No idea.
