Does anyone have any suggestions on which ones are the best?

try searching

The opinion i've gotten is that their a waste of money. They may keep your lap cool but not worth the price.

i dont really notice much of a difference and i got one with 4 fans. They arent that great, but some people swear by em.

I agree - they make no difference to the temperature of my laptop.

Bytecc-NC500 has worked for me for about a year. I only need\use it when I'm gaming. Don't have any measurements with or without, but I'm satisfied "for the price". Lightweight, self-powered, portable. Fans a "little" noisy but not a showstopper. If yer gamin', who can hear fans!

I use an antec for gaming, just to keep the air circulating, self powered etc... also good if you are doing long stretches of video editing, music making ....etc (ie.... 18+ hours in front of a hot laptop - it's nice to keep the keyboard a little cooler)

Silent Cooling

I have a totally silent Nexus cooler pad that uses heat-pipes to keep it cool. Nice thing about it is that it does not drain your battery to use it and it keeps a good space under your 8890 for airflow. The 8890's rubber feet fit perfectly and it even matches the chassis

Is it worth $35 + for a few degrees and a cool surface? That is up to you, but I do like mine!
