Windows Media Encoder w/BisonCam 2.0

Has anyone been able to get their 8790/GX7 with the BisonCam 2.0 to work with Windows Media Encoder 9? My original GX7 had a Amcap webcam and Windows Media Encoder would work flawlessly. My replacement GX7 has a BisonCam 2.0 which seems to conflict with Windows Media Encoder. WME won't launch if BisonCam is installed. Anyone??

I am also having this problem. I had not tracked down the cause of WME not working to the USB camera until I read your post, but I just tried disabling the Bisoncam and WME fired right up for the first time since my notebook arrived.

Anyone have a solution for this?

These kinds of things really bug me. I love many aspects of my 8790, but I think many details have been overlooked. For nearly $3000, I had my hopes set a little higher for quality control. This is my second unit -- the first one had to go back for a video card and speaker problem.

phountinhed,

I sent a email to Hypersonic informing them of this issue. I asked if new drivers are going to be released or if this is a confirmed hardware issue. I'll let you know what I find out.

I'm also disappointed with the quality control of the 8790/GX7 series. This is also my second GX7 (first one sent back for numerous HW failures). Now, I'm writing this post from my Compaq laptop because my GX7 won't boot anymore. Blue lights come on but won't even POST.
