I thought there was an extra card for the extra cache on the EE?

Even if you can, the price of those Extreme Edition is just insane in my mind.. Hey you could easily buy a whole new PC for that much cash.

If I may ask what are you doing on the 9100 to need such a CPU?

Man I bet the battery life drops to like 45 minutes surfing the web with that CPU.

IMO I would be looking at more memory, bigger HD's before jumping for the hyped and over priced EE.

The extra cache is on chip. Thats why the price is so hight to get it to fit on the die .. If it was just an add-on card then anyone with an XPS would have been able to "upgrade" to the EE by adding a card. But we can't since it all on the chip itself.

not worth it

If you need a really fast P4, Just get the 3.0GHZ HT, or the 3.2GHZ HT, They're actually worth the price

I agree. Although the EE edition P4's will work perfectly well in the i9100 they are rediculously overpriced. If you wanted one you would be better off ordering the XPS off the bat anyway.
