Installing Bluetooth in Mitac 8050

Well I made a post about this a week or so ago and got no response... So here I am again with my Mitac 8050 on the way I still need to know if I can install it? I am sure it is possible since hypersonic has it in their configurator. So does anyone know anything about this at all?

Well, I have no idea, but I will help "bump you" just to show you I care.
Is yours from hypersonic themselves, or from a reseller of the 8050 like rjtech??
If it is from hypersonic, give them a call.
If it is from rjtech, you may have a problem, since there is zero information on the web about the 8050. This model was also sold as a voodoopc.com something or other? You may want to check that. Otherwise, you may have to wait for someone else to try it, there have not been many of them recieved by our forum members at this time.
That is why you haven't had any responses, there just aren't many of them out there.
Sorry I can't help more,

Ya I knew there weren't to many around the forums yet but I knew that Laozx got and installed his components himself and was hoping he might have some info for me . Ordered from RJtech.com and should be arriveing at my house on Thur. of this week. Obviously it wasn't something I absolutely needed or else I would have went with hypersonic but it would be convenient to have bluetooth.

did you call / email rjtech about it

Well, I saw a post on here a while ago regarding bluetooth/wifi adapter. They had a link on ebay which had the component. I think it's an all in one device that fits into the mini pci slot. Not sure where to find one online though? So that's what I'm assuming. I don't think there's an extra slot to fit a separate bluetooth adapter. As for myself, I have a usb bluetooth adapter. It works pretty well, and I dont' use bluetooth as regularly as wifi. I'll try to find the link on ebay and i'll post it.

Ahh here you go. I believe this is the card that retailers are selling for their notebooks.

http://www.wneweb.com/wireless/wireless.htm#usa It's the second to last item on that list.

Aikeo - I emailed them long ago and they stated that they didn't offer bluetooth for the Mitac 8050 and it wasn't likely to happen anytime in the future either.

Hmm I was hopeing there would be a way to put bluetooth in place of where the modem/fax is since I will never use that(this is how hypersonic has their configurator set). But after looking at that link I see that it comes with the Wifi . Maybe a solution will present itself when I get my laptop and take a look inside and see what is available.
