Ok, Yeah, I could have bought a Alien, but why? I got a smokin machine and saved a **** load of money. That's number one!

My Wife purchased a Dell 9100 (and I have to say, It's a nice machine), but I love my 5690. It's sleek looking and with the extra HD, Yeah I got the 60, and then I added a 40 to boot... That with a gig of Ram makes this one smkin machine!

The screen is clear and crisp. I don't knwo about heat, cause I don't know how to takes its temperature

Anyway, I love it so far, I got the three year warranty... That means I won't have a problem with it.. you know why? cause I paid the extra momey for it.

This computer rocks and I will promote Sager when I can.

Have a great day!

You just open up the optical drive and stick a thermometer in its "mouth."

Just don't use one of those rectal deals as they won't work - "bad tasting", etc... If you do, don't be suprised that the thing revolts and quits working.

(OK, a bit of jaded humor)....

On a more serious note, use a temperature probe or Mobile Meter. I don't know if Mobile Meter works on the 5690. If it does, that will do the job and provide a couple of other features for you.

Mobile Meter works perfect on the 5690, give it a go

Where would one go to find mobile meter? I keep hearing mention of it on the forums but I can never find a website for it.
