Squeak noise when I zoom in on a picture

It's not a big deal but I have noticed that when I zoom in on a picture using the XP default picture and fax viewer I get a squeaking sound. It almost sounds like it's playing a song lol. And no I am not listening to any music. It only happens when I zoom in really close in on a picture. Could someone else with an 8887 check this out and see if it does it on yours too? I will not RMA this lappy because it's not a big problem. Any other suggestions?

I zoomed all the way in on quite a few pictures and no noise. Good luck.

Instead of the default stuff MS comes with use ACDsee for viewing pictures etc. It is the fastest program I know of for watching pictures. Actually the 3.0version was waaaaaaay faster than 5.0:j

I'm thinking it's the video card or the LCD you're hearing. Are the pictures brighter than the desktop typically is?

Or does it happen when you maximize a windows with a white background? I asking because it could be the sound of the energy surge to light all the pixels...

I hear squeaks often; just moving the vertical scroll bar and sliding it up and down gives me little electric-like squeaks. Very faint, but in a silent room with the laptop fans off or on low, you can hear it.

The sound is coming from the right adge of the lappy. It almost sounds like it is coming from the processor or something else in that area. I would rather not mask the problem with a different program. I want to fix it.
