Radeon 9600 review

It's sad to see NVidia's compareable video card (5600 ultra) gets completely destroyed by the 9600pro. The 5600 gains a couple of fps here in there in a couple tests/games but overall the 9600pro dominates it in almost every other test/game (doubling and sometimes almost tripling their fps!)

Tomshardware is bs, they didnt set options right

read hardocps review its the best there is so far. The 5600 ultra doesnt beat the 9600pro on any tests but perhaps at the lowest resolution in a quake 3 game (if even that)

im a little disappointed in the 9600 but im sure after ocing it, it will be almost as fast if not as fast as the 9500pro. I only hope the mobility 9600pro or m10 pro will be clocked at 400/300.

from what I gathered it will be at 350/300 though still not bad

I would just oc the **** out of it (sager give the 8888 a WICKED cooling system PLEASE)

I've found that THG seems to always put a good "spin" on NVidia cards. I believe they were one of the few that claimed that the 5800 blew away the 9700

[H]ardocp just posted the review with it oc'ed. With only 4 pipelines and 2 shaders this chip is crippled. 8 pipes/4shades with 256 DDRII is when this chip will be screaming and we will see the true colors of this u.13. Mobil 9900 M10.5 might be right around the corner. lol
