Ok, I've had enough. I've waited and waited and waited. But there really seems no-one really fond of WSXGA+ screens and athlon 64 in the resellers market. Everytime I check for a new portable... all i can get is WXGA.
Sure, there are some WSXGA around.. like voodoopc.. but hey...
So here is my idea. (for the bravest)
1) buy an Arima k730 with wxga screen here in europe. (1400 Euros for the mobile 2800+)
2) buy a WSXGA screen somewhere
3) take my good old swiss knife out of the drawer
4) exchange the stuff
5) pray.
What do you think? as far as I can see, I'll end up with a A64 WSXGA notebook, I'll save more than 1000+ euros (incredible) over the voodoopc-price, I'll end up with a WXGA screen to sell to ebay or use as an expensive picture frame. I have a few questions:
1) Have you any place to suggest where to buy the lcd part?

2) what kind of LCD display is mounted on the voodoopc m860?
3) Will it work???
4) Do you think I'll need a BIOS update?

I didn't even considered that... geforce 4go420... yeah why not (I even had to edit the message... that videocard is SO old I didn't even remember the numbering!!!!)... 
those guys must be crazy... or living in 2001...
