Blue screen crash

Thread Starter
Been happening to my 8790 since day one, but seems like it is getting more frequent.

It is random, now happening on average every 4-5 hours, sometimes twice in a row.

Blue screen stays on between 1 and 30 seconds, followed by an automatic restart.

Message on blue screen looks like :

xxxxxxxx xxxxxxx xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx(numbers/letters)
kmode exception not handled acpi.sys
datestamp xxxxxx xxxxxxxx
.....dumping physical memory.....

Anyone have a similar problem or can suggest a fix?

Thanks

I've seen it. Don't know what it means. I wish someone had a solution though. Called Tech support, they said to reformat.

In the device manager check your battery - ACPI software. Maybe it is corrupt. I think you can download new software from microsoft.

My 8790 has also started showing this blue screen.

Is it to do with video bios upgrade or onything like that.

Has anybody found solution to it.

Unfortunately, there is not enough info here, to give you a good answer.
You have x'd out the most imprtant part of the blue screen dump.
the vedry first octet is the most important. followed by the next 4 in ().
write these down the next time you get the blue screen.

the reason og the 30 sec's or more before the reboot is due to the OS saving the crash file. as a .dmp file. it will be as big as you ram, unless you have a smaller page file.

good luck!.
