Sony Vaio A Series

Thread Starter
I have wanted to buy a 17" laptop for some time but a couple of things have held me back.

1. I wanted a docking station so that I would not have to unplug 10 cables everytime I wanted to take the laptop with me.

2. I wanted DVI out. I have am external DVI display and the difference between dvi and vga is quite noticeable.

The toshiba had the docking station but no dvi, the sager had dvi out but no docking station.

Unfortunately, the keyboad does not have a seperate numeric keypad and there is no raid option like the sager.

The enhanced resolution and pentium m 755 processor are also big pluses.

There are other appealing specs as well.

This might be the best 17" laptop available. Do you agree?

It better be for the premium price tag you pay for it. I went and look at i believe was the a190, with the 2GHz Dothan, WUXGA 17", yadda, yadda, etc, it was like 3000 or 3200? It was crazy. I might be wrong on the prices, but it was crazy expensive.
