Best way to buy Spare Parts?

Thread Starter
Hi, using my first dell here

anyway, having trouble finding where to find part numbers, and buy spare parts for my Inspiron 8600 (starting from dell.com.au).

Specifically, I'm after the bluetooth module (i don't think it was even an option on the order page when I bought the laptop?!?!?!)
And, possibly, the ability to buy the colour cover things that go on the back of the screen (available from the order page when I bought the laptop)

Also Do dell stock/sell different colours for the blue bit around the keyboard and touchpad? or will I need to buy another blue one and paint it if I want it to look different?

And, where is the best place to buy parts for the "D800" conversion?

Kind Regards,
Dion

[edit] Just thought I better say, I'm in Australia, and don't really like buying stuff on ebay, unless it's the only way, or, it's considerably cheaper than anywhere else. (Prefer to deal with a Business)

Basically, most of the spare parts are not available on the peripherals website in Oz. Instead, request the bluetooth and quicksnap you want through this e-mail form.

There are no different colours for the "blue bits" around the keyboard. In fact, the ones around the sides, bottom and touchpad are all attached to the Palm rest assembly and non-removeable.

But that brings me to the next part, as if you are going to do the D800 chassis mod then you won't need these different colours anyway..... the D800 palmrest and power bezel have silver accents rather than blue, which is one of the major attractions to it in the first place. Anyway, in Australia there are not many places you can get these parts...

You can order some from this site, but they do not have all the parts you need and they will have to ship internationally. The rest unfortunately you will have to scavenge through ebay.

Cheers,
