888X questions

this beeing my first post and i dont have a sager yet i have a few questions. I plan on getting one of the 888x most likely the 8887
my questions are

1) im going to college in the fall so does this make a good college computer?

2)does any one know for sure that the new moddles for the 888X are coming out by september?

3)is the internal wireless able to be seitched off? i didn't see a switch so is it doen though soft ware or is it always on?

4)what is the battery life? and if the battery is dead are you still abel to use the cdrom with out the computer beeing on or is it totaly dead?

that should be all for now

It's heavy, so I think the 56xx is a better college computer.

I don't think anyone can be sure unless sager or clevo announces it.

No, it's all through software.

The battery life is from 1 to 2 and a half hours, depending on what you use it for.

thanks

now i have a few questions about the 56xx

1)what is the battery life with just one battery? and with the 2nd battery added?

2)you are able to change the 2nd bay with a battery or cd drive at any time right? the comp does not have to be off?

3)does only having on pc card slot make it difficult to decied what to put in it?

4)how hot does 56xx get compaird to the 888X?

dont worry about the 8887's weight, if theres something about it that you liked over the 5x then stick with it. Gs picked up both and he said the 8x wasnt really any different. 2 pounds woot de doo lol

i feel the same way orangeboy. the "brotherhood" of the sager community really impressed me. reminds me of the macintosh cult...sans the secret handshakes and blood letting reality distortion field i am so used to being surrounded by.
