Acer Aspire 2025 - Page 2

Tourney 2112 and Sharakkhal,
thanks for the info. I had no idea that battery life would be virually the same with a 7200 HD. I guess the only issue that remains is the price of a 7200 and voided warrenty.

excuse my noobiness... but if u change the hard drive in an acer 2025.. it voids the warranty u have on it?

i've read on another post that someone called acer tech support and they told them that replacing the hard drive doesn't void the warranty. but i think i'll be calling to double check on that before i order my own.

here's my questions for the experienced crowd here:

my two issues with the acer that i'd want to upgrade are the hard drive (w/ a 7200rpm) and memory ( to 1024mb)...

1) would i be wasting my time with the acer 2025 if i want these upgrades?

2) are there other notebooks that match the over quality, size and widescreen display as the acer 2025 and fit my aforementioned needs better?

In the 2020-series User's Guide there are instruction on how to change the hard drive and upgrade the memory so I don't think it voids the warranty.

I'm not certain if BB/CC has hard drives for notebooks but I know they carry memory for notebooks. Fry's on the other hand has both.
