Hp Nx7010 = Hp Zt3000?

I just watched a little video about the HP NX7010 notebook on C-NET's site. It looks virtually identical to the HP ZT3000 I ordered, last week. I'm guessing that the 7010 is the business version of the 3000?? It looks really sleek and cool, and now I'm even more excited about getting my ZT3000!!

x1000 = zt3000 = nx7000

nx7000 is the business model and has a worldwide warranty.

Flashram the HP answer man comes through, again!

However, unlike almost all of the other business models, the nx7010 just has a one year warranty. (virtually all the other models have 3 year mail-in, the nw8000 has a 3 year on-site).
Of course, you can add just about any warranty to any HP notebook.
They will happily take the money for one.

The disadvantage of ordering from the business side is paying sales tax, although they will usually give you a 5% to 8% discount if you ask.

What is your projected ship date for your ZT3000 ???

That's true about paying sales tax through HP's business section. The same goes for Dell's business section.

My ZT3000 is supposed to ship by 6/29. Did you order that 6000, yet?

I will have an order placed late this afternoon or first thing tomorrow morning.
What the Las Vegas odds are on that occuring, I am not sure, but, if I were a gambling man, I would bet on it!!!

Whoa, so it's a ZT3000 now huh js? I've been leaning towards the Acer 2012 myself. If hte ZT3000 had an ATI 9600 it would be my definite choice.

Yo, Kev! Been awhile, huh? Yup, I did a lot of thinking about what I really wanted out of a computer. It got to the point where I decided that those big desktop replacement notebooks, like the Sager 8790, weren't gonna do what I needed in the long run. So, I bought a bad-a** SFF desktop (check out my sig for the juicy details) for my main work and gaming PC. I then looked around for a fast, thin, light notebook for my time away from my desktop. I don't want to do any gaming on my notebook, so there was no need for a top graphics card. I plan on using my notebook for writing and some multimedia development, wireless internet, e-mail, general stuff (maybe I'll start hangin' out at pretentious wi-fi coffee joints ). This ZT3000 oughtta fit the bill nicely.

How do you like that 2012? Think you'll pull the trigger on it?

The 2012 is the same form factor as the ZT line for the most part. I'm just a big fan of Acer's build quality since owning this stop gap Acer in my sig.

I've beeng debating several laptops for the last month or so. I was contemplating the CL56 but I'm not a big fan of the SXGA+ screens that're out right now nor am I a fan of the way it looks (yeah, so sue me I'm superficial).

As far as the 2012...I'm prolly going to order it, or whatever I decide on, as soon my new credit card gets here (I haven't had a credit card in several years :P)...

BTW JS, I don't want to alarm you but I asked around in the X1000 forums about the WSXGA+ lcd's and the X1000/ZT3000also use Hitachis and Samsungs like Delll.
Here to hoping you get a Samsung:

Yeah, I knew about the Hitachi/Samsung WSXGA+ LCDs for the ZT3000. That definitely had me a bit concerned. I read on the Dell forums that Hitachi had upgraded their LCDs to match those of Samsung, so I felt a little more at ease about taking a chance with the 3000. Still, I'm hoping to get a Samsung LCD on mine.

No credit card for years, huh? I'm impressed. Welcome back to the wonderful world of revolving debt!!
