New Compal CL 56 bios

Thread Starter
There's a new Compal bios dated June 16, 2004. link

another direct link
I was wondering whether or not it would be wise to try and update the bios on my cl 56. It might fix the Windows battery remaining info taskbar icon, or it might not...

Anyone brave enough to try it first?

nonono...cl51 is the chassis model..meaning our computer model.

I just checked the bios update info, it appears that this will fix the battery meter information.

If you look on the bottom of your cl56, it will say CL 51 somewhere down there. Ours is just the model 56 within the line of 51 models.
