Well outa nowhere my lappy just keeps rebooting rather than turning off. I hit shutdown and it just reboots, and right before it would ussually shutdown, i see some sort of blue warning screen that i can't read cause it flashes so fast. Running XP pro on my M6805 with all latest drivers, just started doing this 15 minutes ago, any suggestions?

how long have you had theM6805? did you happen to add any ram recently? To see what the BSOD is saying, do the following:

1. Right click on "my computer" and hit properties.
2. click the "Advanced" tab on the system properties window
3. Where it says "Startup and Recovery," click on "settings"
4. under where it says "system Failure," uncheck the option "automatically restart."
5. Click ok and restart your computer.

The next time the bsod comes up, right down what the error says. I believe that it has something to do with your memory/ram..overheated ram causes things like these to happen, or it could be an entirely different thing, nevertheless, at least this will get the error message down.

Good luck.

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Although i can't seem to find how to resolve the problem via google.com. I had nothing but good things to say about this lappy till now, 6 months in this thing is a POS.

Sounds like a memory problem, or a IRQ conflict.

To test the ram, google for a program called memtest86. Boot to dos and run the full test. I few errors in test's 4-5 are acceptable, errors anywhere else may mean your ram needs replaced.

Sounds like he's using a Linksys PCMCIA wifi card with the newest drivers lmao. Is this the case?

Have you scanned for the sasser worm? Microsoft's web page has a link on how to remove it. I know of 2 people who got hit with it.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I went ahead and formatted last night (was due anyways, i do it every 3-5 months). I haven't had a chance to test it yet, i work all week so i probably won't know till friday if i'm golden again or not. Appriciate the comments and will check back if the problem persists. And no worm, and no linksys card =)
