TV Tuner VCR Error

Thread Starter
I get this error after uninstalling old TV tuner software and installing drivers/software for the HT enabled software.
I open TV Sudio.
Open the Panel.
Switch to VCR.
Hit record.
Get error.
"Create Video encoder filter fail"
Am I missing something?

You must have something wrong because the TV tuner VCR function has worked great with the new HT-compatible driver from Sager's website. Be sure that you completely remove the TV Studio software, and use the RemoveDriver.exe program in the UnloadDrive folder to delete the drivers. Reinstall the drivers by pointing the installer to the new driver files you've downloaded. Install the TV tuner software by going into the TV Fleet folder, then the WIN2000_WDM folder, Disk 1, setup.exe. If it doesn't work this next time I'd try re-downloading the 45 MBytes of software from Sager's site again, and trying with the fresh software in case your download was bad. If that doesn't work, then it must be something wrong with your system install.

The Aver media site says I have to run filterSDK but I can't find it anywhere.

I unstalled everything again and installed it on the C drive this time. I had been installing it on the D drive with my other apps. This is the only thing I changed. Anyway, it works now. I'll be converting my Bondurant School video this weekend.

I had a similar problem but got that bug fix from avermedia bug_fix that did it for me.
