freaking tank laptop lol...but yeah it's cheap if you don't need to move it around a lot..

I just got one recently... really awesome machine.

Very solid build-quality, tight and no-nonsense operation.
Another highlight is the screen, which is very bright and razor-sharp.

As long as size/weight is not an issue (which wasn't at all for me, I use it pretty much as a desktop, I even removed the battery and replaced it with the "filler" piece that comes with it) it's sort of a no-brainer.

I too just bought one. I move between a house and a boat every few days. The size doesn't bother me as I'm not wandering through airports or something with it. I do a lot of photography and I guess I could put it into a backpack and lug it around, but it was really bought for it's desktop replacement capabilities. I went from a 2.8 with 1 gig ram and 256mb video on my desktop which is now in storage. I needed something under $2500 that would suit me and this was it.
I am so happy with mine.
