returned old i8600, getting new i8600... and a question about fonts

hey, the ups guy just came and picked up my old i8600 that had problems starting up from a cold boot...

and then i got a new one:
intel pentium-m 1.8ghz dothan
384mb ram (will replace 128 with 512 upon receipt)
60gb 7200rpm HD
ati mobility radeon 9600 proturbo 128mb
dell internal wireless 1350
win xp home (will install my xp pro copy upon receipt)

total price after 20% off coupon: $1692.00



and my other question about fonts...
on my previous i8600, when I first started it up, had fonts in windows that were very much... rounded... or something like that. When I reformatted and reinstalled winxp pro, the fonts were sharp once again...
Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
