Still prefer the Sony - Page 2

i would NEVER inflict that kind of pain on someone unless they were a serious and deadly threat to me or my family.

I'm looking out for you, man!!!

When I get my Sager I will hook my videocam up by the firewire port and make a video of the barbeque!! And the companioin video of me in the witness protection program or hospital afer my wife gets through beating me into a coma......

Besides I have a friend who has a Sony and he needs the screen. He sat on his. I told him it must have been a mercy killing.

guys you are still not saying anything about the montior moving from the smallest touch on a Sager? I cant stand my sager when its not on a solid desk. If its in my lap or at work where people jar desks the screen moves around way too freaking much. IBM and SONYS i know do NOT have this problem with there screens. I mean the 5670 from my 2monthns using it is not ment to be used as a laptop only as a desktop replacement because of this. I LOVE this laptop but the moving screen wobbling blows hardcore. And so does the ATI card not loving OpenGL games without running a 3rd party program too get them too work.

put up or shut up please

Ok, I'm in the proper frame of mine to address this finally:
[rant]

Serverking, how many threads have you posted about your screen? You didn't even try to address the thread because everything is all about your screen.

Well it is a hardware issue, do you want to try to adjust the thing yourself? If so then DO IT! If not then it seems like your options are pretty limited... let me think of the different ones...

1) RMA it to Sager

or ahh... damn I couldn't think of another because there isn't any other option.

and just to head off another line of arguement...

If you can't send it in because of ANY reason then that is YOUR choice and not the reseller or Sager telling you to like it our lump it.

p.s. If you need help writing any other post then let me help you out, just cut and paste the following...

"blah, blah blah my screen wobbles and no one will help me fix it so blah blah blah blah blah whimper whine"

You should have known that ATI dont support OpenGL - this is not a hidden detail or a conspiracy that has been sheathed from your prying view

By all means give it back if you dont like it.

I am sure you can get the screen issue fixed.

And THIS IS A DESKTOP REPLACEMENT which is what STARES at you on these forums...the sager is not a laptop and we're proud and happy for that...

Methinks you havent done enough homework before buying your laptop. Fix it but please stop whining...

Speak to Sager - they WILL take care of you. Ask them if you can do it in house by yourself - ask for instructions. I am sure they will be able to help you out if you explain how desperately you need the laptop and stuff...you know...

But make an effort yourself first...

I don't know what is wrong with your Sager, but on my 8886 if I try to move the screen the whole notebook actually starts to move first ( I usually have to use two hands to adjust it, or move it quickly so that the inertia holds the notebook in place... ).

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the barbeque of my Sony has been called off.

My wife is now in Vietnam visiting her family. Instead of waiting a week to get internet access, she got it done in ONE DAY!!! This is a major leap forward. She was able to get service in her name.

When I was there last, I had to get internet access through a relative, and the wait was over one week. The speed is a blazing 19200bps. I am not being sarcastic when I tell you that these developments are phenominal. I won't even go into how access is now similar to earthlink or bluelight.

So in the village where my wife is at, the laptop with the internet connection is the new hot flava. Its kinda like the 50's and color TV was in the US. Everyone in town coming by and looking at the computer and going "Ohhhhhhh......"

So my wife is going to leave it there and make an internet cafe out of the room it is in now. This should help the family there make some money.

So this HOS (hunk of ...well u get the picture) has finally found a use.

I was so looking forward to the kerosene, kingsford and match.........
