Dont post that crap here man....

That is a POS laptop by all standards.. even the dells do better than that. 9600!? WXGA ?

Dont ever post anything about go-l unless it is to flame them.. stupid racist bastards.
woah hostility.

never heard of them. what's so bad about them?
This is just part of what is wrong with them... read through that thread. But be warned that it is very long.

lol..they still haven't come out with the New Yorker they "announced" earlier to this one.....
i see what you mean. 6800 for a laptop is ridiculous. its probably only worth half that. and the site is a pretty blatant rip-off the mac site.
so....whats the quick and dirty story behind this website? e-retailer? that laptop looks sick though. who's the odm? is it for real? price seems steep though.
ODM for most of their laptops is Sager.
really? that thing is a sager? they just repainted it right? or new chasis?
Oops, sorry. I dont know about that notebook specificaly, but most others are Sagers. I cant really tell from looking at that pic that they have, as you cant see much of it. And when I said Sager, I was mistaken. They are Clevos. (sagers ar rebadged Clevos.)
that 17" new yorker one, i think its the sager (clevo) 8790....doesn't look that great on the sager page....but looks really nice, thin and sleek on the other one....hmmmm

Yeah even that one that I was unsure of is a Sager/Clevo.

The New Yorker should be identical to the Sager 3760. The original specs for the 3760 (published by Eurocom) is the same as the current specs for the New Yorker. However the 3760 has been toned down since then. Go-L, being the company they are, have not revised their specs since I pointed out the error in their listed chipset over 4 months ago. It is now an old system (with Banias as opposed to Dothan), and Go-L still haven't released it. What a joke...

lol i didnt think go-l was still up

yeah, i was unaware of the false advertising go-L does until i read through that crazy huge thread (it was pretty entertaining heh). they make apple look like the girl scouts

i've never used a go-L system personally with all its "tweaks" but um... hardware just can't lie. they're all the same clevos and sager and bla bla bla... with a silly rock sticker on the front. just uhh 2x as expensive. and despite all the claims, no software any living human can write is gonna make your FETs switch faster, sorry champ.

its amazing though, i guess they still get a decent number of people to buy their systems, cause they're still in business. i guess some people just have too much money? man wouldn't you love to have that problem. if you did, you might also be silly enough to live in california and try to label yourself a "New Yorker." Oh wait...

Well Maximum PC asked for people who had purchased Go-L systems to contact them to see if they were legit, and nobody replied to them I know for sure a forum member named Meddude bought one, but they lied to him and didnt ship him what he had ordered.

Yikes.
how in the world that is legal, i just don't know. sounds like a good EE lawyer could put them out of business for good.
