Hello all, long time reader, first time poster
First off, this forum has been a big help in helping me pick out a laptop, and I decided on an Acer Ferrari 3200. Thanks to all the people who posted reviews.
This leads me to the title of my post. It's not a huge deal, I'm just somewhat disappointed in PC Torque after ordering my Acer from them. I'm the kind of person who CANNOT delay gratification for more than 3 seconds before I go completely insane. I ordered my laptop about a week or so ago, everything went great. Then about 5 days ago they said my laptop would arrive at their facilities on June 21st and it would ship a few days after that, I was excited. Then there was some problems with shipping (although some of that was due to my bank, what kind of bank won't let you add an alternate shipping address to your card???). Anyway, I couldn't ship it to where I wanted, and it had to go to my billing address, not a huge deal, but still it is an inconvience. Then, a few days ago I got an email saying that my laptop would arrive at their facilities on June 30th.... Not good news. I asked why and they said that they were backordered, and that they had to fill those with the last shipment. THEN I get another email telling me that there are more backorders, and I might not be included in the June 30th shipment! Now this just ticks me off. No where on the site did it say it was backordered, and I was lead to believe I was getting my laptop by as early as the 25th. Now its looking like June 5th or later. I would have ordered a CL56 if I had known it was going to take this long (I was teetering between the 2). I have heard such great things about PC Torque, and I was looking forward to finding it true.
Now alot of you will probably say stop whining and just wait, but I wouldn't have as much of a problem waiting if I had been notified beforehand that it was backordered. In everything else, PC Torque has been great. Sorry I just had to let off some steam, I want my laptop so bad!!!!!
