The Mayhem G3 is out! I am not sure what the dvd rw speed is though.

How was the Build quality of the Mayhem G1? The G3 is using with same case. I wonder how hot it will get.

Anyone plan on buying this computer?

You can get the same notebook from Game Pc with a 4x DVD+- burner.

What do you guys think?

Yeah, to my surprise, i went into Microcenter today, looking to compare a 15.1" sxga+ screen and a 15.4" wxga. I am walking through the store, and the winbook catches my eye because it looks so firmiliar. It is really cheap, and I can get all I would from Hypersonic, except the 9700 gpu, and i get a DVD burner, for 300 less. I just called them and had them set one aside in the back. I am going to go pick it up either tonite or tomorrow

Its a really nice looking computer , There isn't many photos of it, but what i have seen it looks really sleak and its only 8 pounds. I don't know how powerful the athlon 64 3400 is compared to a 3.4 ghz p4. So any info would be nice. I have found out that servicing the laptop yourself voids the warranty, and am checking what type of thermal paste is used if any on the laptop. Its a silicone based thermal compound. They say they benched it and said its stable. 2 x dvdrw speed. Here is a few pics: http://www.abspc.com/app/SeeImages.asp

ABS computers. They have a im style contact with their tech. They seem to know what their doing. I already asked them a bunch of questions. So if you have anymore you can bug them too. Let me know what they say.

The ODM looks like a Mitac to me. I have seen the same chasis on another mitac computer. The CX6

Nope its Uniwill, confirmed! Go to the ABS page and configure the G3. Then click on the Manufacturer link there. It will take you to the Uniwill home page.

It is completely the same as the G1, which has been reviewed here before, the only different thing being the upgrade to the 9700.

Didnt catch that one. So diff:

9700 instead of 9600
AMD instead of P4

The g3 only seems to have a WXGA. I like to use a 1280x1024 res on my desktop, the wxga only has a 1280x800. How much of a downgrade is that?
