Hypersonic Aviator AX6 feedback please!!!

Hello, I have been in the market for a gaming/schoolwork notebook for some time now. I have searched through countless forums, review sites, resellers, you name it, Ive done it. I came across this model tonite and I was wondering if anyone has one and has done/could do some benchmarks and let me know how it compares to other laptops in its price range.

that is the laptop im looking at, I would get it with the 3400+ card, 2 512 400mhz pc 3200, the radeon 9600, 60gb 7200rpm, 15.1 SXGA (is that a good screen? I know nothing about screens, just dont really want widescreen or anything over 15 inch).

Any feedback is very appreciated. I also read something about this model having problems with a weak keyboard that felt like it caved in near the middle. Heat output would be great to know, running temps when idle/gaming, possibly info on just how loud the fans are, anything anyone knows.

ax6 feedback

Hi there,

I recently got an ax6 with the following specs:
3400+ 1GB ram, 60 GB 7200RPM drive, 128MB ATI 9600, 108MBS wifi card

Overall its a nice machine, although a word of warning...oh man, the speakers are terrible. Fine if you dont intend on ever using them (ie headphones or external speakers), but avoid this machine if you intend on using the built in speakers AT ALL.

the amd 64 3400+ + 128MB 9600 zips along nicely. I've been playing Soldiers: Heroes of ww2 demo on it and it runs nice and fast. Everyday apps onit sem nice and quick, although you need to turn it to "always on" power mode to get the most out of it, otherwise it cycles down using the powernow to less Mhz, cuasing a few glitches in some apps.

Looks wise its OK...bit weight challenged and looking like it could benefit from a little Atkins diet perhaps, but overall, not too shabby. screen is great to looks at, no complaints there.
