Hi just got my 8600 15.4 wsxga 1.7m735 laptop when viewing websites only fills full left half of screen. On forums all screen is full. Is there anything i can do to view all websites on the full screen
Its all the website.
The default on most forums is by percents.
ie: the entire site is at 100% then say the edges take up 5% ect.
Some other webdesigners decide to place a set distance from side to side or what not meaning it will only take up as much as they decide no matter how big or small your screen is.
You probably don't want to have you web browser window maximized, especially on a widescreen display... Most web pages with heavy formatting are still designed for 800x600 displays. Try resizing your browser window so it takes about half the screen horizontally so you can have two browser windows side by side.
You could try alternatives to the Internet Explorer, such as FireFox, Opera and others; search this forum.
That won't change anything so no need switching for that reason .. Other browsers will still show the website the same way leaving all the space .. It has nothing to do with the browser ..
