Ok so I'm about to reinstall my computer, but I'm getting DSL this week. My qustion is should I wait for DSL then reinstall becasuse I need the drivers to be downloaded? My fear is my PC won't work and can't get on the net without having the drivers yet. In fact what do drivers do?

Thanks

Wouldnt you want to make everything "ready" for DSL and not have to format after the tech has set it up? So I say do it before. You have all the drivers, they came with the dell, if thats what you got. Be aware you dont have to install everything that dell gives you, just the stuff like sound drivers, video drivers (if you dont want the omega ones on the main page updates), AOL/Earthlink (if you need the net), etc...

ah

i'm setting up my old dell PC, therefore I don't know where the driver disks are. I'm just scared that without the drivers I won't be able to setup the dsl, and I can't downlaod them now as I'm on 56k and just the thought of that scares me. So my question is that without the drivers can I setup the dsl?

win xp should be able to recognize automatically ur new connection. it did with both my dsl and cable. if u need the set up disks, u can ask ur provider for another one or maybe u can download the drivers of their web site or something
