corrupt files

Hi: This may be a basic question, but what utility do you all use to delete corrupt files? I have been getting alot of them recently, mostly in my game files. Can't delete them or overwrite them with clean copies of the file. How frustrating! Thanks.

I don't get corrupted files. If I did, I would immediately diagnose the hard drive itself using the built-in tools (to start). Also, if it got REALLY bad, I'd reformat my game partition (you do have games installed on their own partition?)

I'm in the "reformat it" camp here... but getting file corruption errors sounds like an IBM drive (heh, little personal attack on IBM there). Seriously, it could be a Hard Drive problem. Hope you backup your pertinent data (e-mail, saved games, etc).
