Emachines M6811 vs. Compaq R3000Z

Which should i get? i need it for gaming. It sux, Compaq has sucky GPU nd Emachines has sucky amount of ram (512, i need at least a gig). Anyway what would a gamer pick and how much does the e perfrom over the compaq?

The M6811 because gaming is based mostly on the graphics card.

Morrowind

How well does it perform on this lapop? I need to be able to run it wit h everything up, no lag.

You mean all settings on high for the latest game? Might not be possible but I saw the m6809 firsthand running a FarCry demo, although I'm sure the settings weren't on high.

Still looked good and played without lag, though.

As for benchmarks I'm pretty sure there are some on these boards...

I'm positive the m6811 will run Morrowind just fine (you may need to fine tune some settings) but it'll run better than what HP's offering.

huh tho who this? I just picked it up yesterday had it for a while im amazed at how fun it is for a game, its actually secent! no other game can say that

Ah, I see, well I just checked the Morrowind website for spec requirements and you can definitely play the game on the m6811.

What are the minimum and recommended system requirements for playing Morrowind?

it is not too intensive, if i scale down to win ME i can run it on my 866mhz 256mb 4mb vid P3. either system can pull it off.
