Yah, I understand what you saying they will concentrate more on PCIe

But i also ment to say that if there was a bridge chip there wouldnt be any performance lose due to AGP still having spare bandwidth. We will just be introuble when a game comes outs requiring 2gig bandwidth

There is a difference between the desktop market and the laptop market. Agp will not be totally buried in the desktop market for some time. They will become bargin bins first. However the laptop market is a whole different story. Laptops will not support both formats easily, so in the laptop market agp wil die when pci-x is released. Most of the above examples were desktop based. Think about how hard it is to find a celeron in a laptop that is in production, not a floor model or a closeout. I can't remember the last time I saw a celeron in a laptop that was not refurbished, floor model, closeout, or a used model that someone was trying to sell. Even bargin bin laptop models ar p4.

But a bridge chip can be tiny and laptops like small hardware! Smaller the better

? Dell sells tons of celerons on the low end notebooks, brand new. So does Toshiba (Satellites), Sager, and everyone else that sells an inexpensive line of laptops. All are brand new systems.

No to take a wizz on the parade here, but there are no guarantees that AW will have ATI make the graphics modules, or even stock them if they do.

*ducks the incoming tomatoes*

AW doesnt have to, nvidia will make them do it

Jeez, Where were you guys when pci went the way of agp, which went the way of agp 4x, which went 8x. You can still buy pci video cards, (can anyone say Rage Turbo or AIW) not cutting edge but hey technoclogy marches on whether we want to ride along or not. The only difference with the new bus tech. is that is where the development money will go, like always money goes where the money is to be made. lol.
