CD Controls

Is it possible to make the front CD Controls on the 5660 work in windows media player or musicmatch jukebox? The volume controls pass through so I don't see why the track controls wouldn't work as well. Thanks in advance!

Switching tracks via the front panel works on my 8887. Maybe it is different on the 5660.

This does not work on my 8887. the volume does, but not the tracks, maybe it the bios. I got mine april 1st, but don't know if I have the latest bios I'll check, and post the version.

i have a question does this only control cds? and does the readout light up? if not, how hard do you think it would be to make it light up.
(ignoring the fact that it might void the warranty)

Not the BIOS, but the HOTKEY drivers (I'm guessing)... I can control Windows Media player (play, stop, skip, etc) but not WinAMP 2.xx (which is what I use).

Can anyone else with a 5660 confirm if their audio dj buttons work in windows? I don't think HOTKEY has any options for the audio dj buttons, it seems to only handle the three quicklaunch buttons up by the power button.

I was incorrect, the buttons DO work for me with Windows media player on my 8887, but not in Winamp 3. The vloume always works.

The buttons do *NOT* work with WMP9 or with WinAmp3 on my 5660. Would love to get it working though.

Not sure if this has been discussed, but would it be possible to tell the lcd to display something like cpu load? If so, the track buttons could even be converted into scrollers to cycle between different information.

not sure if this has ever been discussed, but is it possible to display something like the cpu load on the front lcd? For my usage, I would get a lot more out of it that way, since I have never used the think to play cds.
