Little animal in my LCD

Hi guys

This really sucks. There is a little animal in my LCD and I have no clue how to get rid of it. I already opened up the LCD but then I noticed that the animal is actually in the lcd and that I cannot open.
So any clues what I can do.
BTW looks like a little worm or something

Uhhh....this is a new one. Is it really an animal or is it a image burned in on the screen?

@burnt:
Nope it is an animal cause it is moving, I saw it and I can't imagine that DELL would give me a new screen cause of this.
BUT isn't the LCD supposed to be closed so that such stuff couldn't happen?
Oh and is there some kind of cover of the LCD that I may remove to get rid of the bug?

If you have ever taken a TFT LCD apart it is actually comprised of several layers of plastic material. It could be possible that a small enough insect could have crawled in between these layers. I would go with the suggestion of contacting Dell Support for a new LCD.

first of all, dell will DEFFINETELY give u a new screen for this... i suggest not only getting the new screen, but also requesting money back, or accessories for ur troubles.

But im still kind of skeptical about it being alive... how long could something live in there without food?... cus that screens been built for a while im sure...and theyres really no opening into it. I dont know much about the actual screens themselves, but maybe its just some loose Liquid Crystal.

good luck

That is what I was wondering about, that something could actually live and survive in there.

It really sucks, especially I have a SHARP WUXGA screen and right now there are no SHARPs available here in Germany cause I already asked some time ago.
So if I have to get a replacement, I REALLY LOVE THE SHARP SCREEN, which one is almost as equal as I know the SHARP is the best WUXGA

The UXGA's are pretty much all the same. Barring a defect you wouldn't know the difference. I would do what everyone else has suggested, call Dell and tell them your screen has the clap.

Well, will do that then, hope that will do it.

So is it really sure that all the WUXGA the same but I don't really know anymore what kind of brand DELL said is available.
I am really kind of worried as I really love the SHARP one

Actually it doesn't make much sense to take a pictue cause you would only see a black line and never would guess it is alive. I only know cause I saw it moving.
And as I cannot take a screen****, cause this would not show it there is really no point.
You guys just have to believe me it is there IN the LCD.

BTW, sorry I need to ask that again but what kind of WUXGA screens are there besides the sharp and what are the specs of the all as far as anyone knows

You should still take a picture so we can see.

Yeh we don't like to imagine.

The other makers of WUXGA's are Samsung and Toshiba. The specs are very very similar in all three. If you want specifics search the dell forums this has been discussed many times. Remember paranoia killed the cat, or something to that effect.
