ATI M24 Laptop

A prototype laptop just fell into my lap, it has the ATI M24 installed in it, which I believe is an X600. It is using a PCI Express bus and Intel P4m 1.87MHz processor. I ran 3D Benchmark 2003, but only got 1819 marks on 1024x768 settings, anyone know of current drivers for this? I am hoping to get us all some numbers to drool over... ;o)

You better not be pulling my leg! If you really do have one, post some picks and benchies asap (or atleast send them to me in a pm!)

that is amazingly cool. i thought something like that still only existed on paper. where the hell did you get that from? you must work for ati or more likely your pullin everyone's chain. but if it is true, do you know when something like that will be on the market?

WE MUST KNOW!!!

P4-M or a P-M? 1.87 seems awfuly low for a P4-M.

I wonder how it will run games. It should be able to get scores = to or greater than the sager 5790

Like I said, can't really get any good benchmarks until I find some drivers. It does show PCI Express in the Device manager along with a simple M24 for the Video Card name. I won't have time to touch it again until after 3PM EST. ;o) Let me know what you would like me to try...

He never said it had Axiom... just because it has PCI-e, that doesnt necesarily mean it has one of the modular video cards.

Is it from Michael's Computers?
Just fell into your lap, huh? I instantly believe you.

I will have to tear into it and see what connections it has, it is a client that is in for testing, so I can't do too much to it. ;o) I can bring in my digital camera tomorrow if he is still here with it.

Are you sure it is a P4-M?

It is just the Centrino I think, I will get a screen shot of the device manager at least for you guys soon. ;o)

I think you mean... "It is just the Pentium-M I think..."

If that is the case, then what you have in your hands is a 3rd generation Pentium-M with a 533mhz FSB,

However... those arent supposed to go into production until the 4th quarter.

Like he said, its a prototype.

I would like screen shots of anything you think would be beneficial to us determining what kind of specifications it has.

I took a capture of the device manager, not a ton of information, but some. I am busy working, so can't post them on my website yet. I will take a peak in the bios before he leaves. If we don't get a new driver, I can't play much with it unfortunately. <sigh> It is a HP model, btw... ;o)

Found this...

It's not HP but is similar to the vague details provided by the original poster:
