You should try using Zoom Player or maybe even Windows Media Player 9 will work better.
Here's a comment straight from one of the Microsoft WMVHD guys on AVS Forum :

| System requirements are a tough thing with these discs. Basically, you have 41ms to pull the data off of the disc, decrypt it, decode it, and render it. The 3Ghz recoomendation is really a soft # -- machines with lower specs are able to play this content back sometimes while even 3.2Ghz machines may not be able to. The problem really lies in the fact that there are about 43 potential bottlenecks in the system which all add up to whether or not you can play the content back. We found that putting system requirements of 200Mhz core FSB (that's 800 in Intel speak) with AGP FastWrite enabled and PC3200 or faster RAM would be a bit obtuse for most users on the packaging. For reasons of simplification, we took the tact that most machines with 3Ghz processors are going to have more powerful components installed. Unfortunately with 40+ variables in the playback chain, any of which could break the experience (the chain is only as strong as the weakest link), coupled with the fact that they really do have to work together has proved to be a difficult classification problem. |

Incredible, DVD's just got put to shame
Oh and i'm using WMP 10 beta, along with the 4.6 OMEGA ATi drivers
WMP9? Nah... too bloated. I am still using Windows Media Player classic as my default AVI player (mplayer2.exe)
