8790 or 5690

alright i wanted to know if it was really worth the money to go with a 8790.. orignally i made the 8790 and it came out to about 3000 with the 2 day shipping, when i made the 5690 just for kicks it came out to be 2500. im a gamer so i maxed out all the stuff as much as i thought i needed. but i havnt talked to anyone in person with either laptop so im unsure.. any help would be great.

If you have the money, I'm sure everyone on here will tell you the 8790 is the way to go. The 5690 is an awesome notebook also. I have an 8790, so you know what I would go for. I LOVE the glossy 17" screen on the 8790. It's just a sleek, beautiful, thing of beauty.

a lot of it comes down to the extras the 8790 has that it requires the extra space. the subwoofer, tv tuner, widescreen, etc. if these sorta things are important, then its worth the extra money. if you dont really see the need for these, save yourself the money and go with the 5690.

and im not really sure why this belongs in the photo gallery forum

I had the same dilemna when I bought mine in may. I got the 5690 decked out and absolutely love it. I run all my games very smoothly and love the look and feel of it. After seeing mine, my friend bought one.
